The Grainery Guitar Picks
The Grainery is KRDesigns’ longest-standing customer. As a music venue, it built a display of guitars signed by visiting artists. But the signatures were not always easy to read. The owner asked Mike for an idea to help visitors identify the artists behind the guitars.
One clear format for every guitar.
Mike proposed guitar-pick-shaped labels: simple, clean and consistent across the display. The same font and formatting make the artist names easy to read, while visitors can still look up at each guitar and see the original signature in person.
A small detail with a clear purpose.
Each pick measures approximately 7¼ by 6 inches and is CNC routed from ¼-inch-thick black/white/black ColorCore. Routing through the black face reveals the contrasting white layer for the lettering, giving the collection a consistent, readable set of labels.
